Using NewMail
on computers with multiple users
This little program will allow NewMail to have different
settings depending on the user currently logged in.
Future versions of NewMail will probably have this
feature built-in, but in the meantime you can use this
little program. The program is made by Björn Kleier.
Here's how you install it:
| 1) | Download the archive: newmailstart.zip (2.265 bytes). The program needs VB40032.DLL |
| 2) | Unzip the archive and move newmailstart.exe to the NewMail folder |
| 3) | Make a link to NewMailStart.exe in your StartUp folder. If you have a link to NewMail in your StartUp folder you need to delete this link. |
| 4) | Go to the NewMail folder and create one subfolders for each of the users using their login name. |
| 5) | Copy NewMail.exe to each of the subfolders you created in 4) and delete NewMail.exe in the NewMail folder |
| 6) | Configure each copy of NewMail by clicking on NewMail.exe in each subfolder. |
| 7) | Restart Windows and log on as yourself and see if NewMail now uses your personal settings. |
